The Envelope Budget System has been around for ages. Simply put, it goes like this: You get a paycheck You cash your paycheck You divide your money into different envelopes representing budget categories. Once you spend all your money in an envelope category, you stop spending or make the decision to take money from another envelope. People have used this budget system for years to spend less than they earn and stay out of debt. Times have changed. Technology has improved. We do things differently now. Cash has been replaced by checks. Checks have been replaced by debit & credit cards. Budgeting principles have remained the same. You have to spend less than you earn in order to win! Inzolo merges these classic budgeting principles with new world technology. With Inzolo, you can create virtual envelopes for your budget categories. When you get paid, you allocate your paycheck to the virtual envelopes in which you want to spend. Your money remains safely in the bank. You then spend by the method of your choice — such as debit cards. After spending, you assign your transaction to an envelope category, and the amount you spent is deducted from that envelope.
