Wedding advice, budgets, and venues, and saving money?
Me and my fiance, have finally chosen where we would love to be married…
http://www.hagleyhall.com/
while its a little more expensive it seems the best quality we can find, however we’re still looking for the wedding and the reception (an afternoon tea type thing, little sandwiches, cakes on stands, teapots, nice!) to cost around £5000 for about 120 people. Is this too much? Our total budget is about £9000, how can save money on the remaining things so that we can still be married here?
£5000 is just under $10000
At this venue we wouldnt need to do any dressing as it is already so ornaite, but we would need table centre pieces.

wedding on a budget = / advice please?
My fiance and I are planning on getting married next year in may.
but we have lots of expenses. im still in school (not working) and he’s paying off lots of student loans. (he went to NYU) lol. and car, insurance, etc.
he’s working but he doesnt get paid enough to save for a $10,000 wedding. so our budget is of about $5,000.
we’re planning on having a beach ceremony cuz i heard its cheaper and plus I LOVE THAT IDEA = ) and i would love to have an outdoor ceremony as well. maybe in a garden.
we will be doing a lot of “do it yourself” like decorations, flowers, probably cake (idk if thats a good idea)
and i would love to get suggestions of where to buy stuff to decorate, where to get flowers, WHERE CAN I FIND A GARDEN THAT DOESNT COST $200 pp. (like the botanical garden) lol.
thank you = D
oh by the way. i live on long island NY.
i wouldnt mind driving to jersey or upstate for the garden venue.

I am the wedding coordinator for a friend. Need advice?
I am also the matron of honor. The wedding is also at my home. There will be about 100 people. For their gift I will be providing the food for the reception. The couple wants the food to be simple, nothing over the top. I need advice on main menu items to serve. As I am the matron of honor, I need something that can be prepared in advance and easily served. And no, we are trying not to hire a caterer for money issues. This is a very low budget wedding, but even so we are trying to make it nice.

I need advice on how to begin planning a low-budget wedding?
I’m getting married next may. All I’ve got so far is my dress. Can anyone tell me when is the right time to send “save a date”, put an engagement announcement in the paper, and anything else I need to do right away. I’ve got about 100 people so far on the guest list. Good advice will be appreciated.

Need advice on reception ideas for black, ivory, and fuchsia wedding?
Ok my bridesmaid dresses are black with fuchsia sashes, the guys are wearing all black with fuchsia ties and my dress is ivory. What are some good ideas to do the reception? Should I do black tablecloths with fuchsia runners or ivory tablecloths and rotate the black and pink runners or what?? Also what would be good cheap centerpieces? We are trying to stay on a budget…Thanks everybody

What is the best advice from newly wedded brides that you can give to a bride to be?
I want to plan a wedding under $15,000. But, I have over 300 guests. I would like to find out what the best deals are on invitations, cakes, reception halls, caterers, photography, and flowers. Do you have any do it yourself ideas? i want an elegant but with in budget wedding. HELP!

Huge wedding,tiny budget! Advice?
A friend of mine wants to have 150 people at her wedding, but has to pay it herself so there really isn’t much money. She’s disappointed, I’m making her be realistic and not so sentimental about it all, but nonetheless – When you really want to have wedding with 150 people involved, then what would you do to chop costs down to bare minimum? She’s making her own wedding gown, and there are several people willing to make things.
What are some inexpensive ideas you’ve seen done that help make a low-budget wedding not look cheap? Anything that we should avoid doing, that seem way too tacky?
Thank you!
