How do I convince my Boss to do marketing?
bridgetmobile asked:
We are a small cabinet company that serves high end clients. We have had a really slow year and as a group want to market our company more. However, the owner of the company does not like to spend cash to earn cash. What recomendations are out there? We would like to start the first of the year but we have been given no green light due to budget issues. Any advice on this issue would help. Thank you.
We are the cabinet dealer and sell direct to the consumer.

Need some small business marketing advice?
Pat G asked:
I am thinking about sending some brochures/flyers out around the neighborhood to help people with budgeting, tax planning, and even start the discussion about doing taxes at the end of the year. Here is my question, however….. do I put prices of what I am going to charge for the budgeting help on the brochure? Do you push people away or draw more people in if you DON’T include prices? Any advice helps! Thanks!

Needed advice for small retail clothing shop. How can I get the customer to focus on clothing vs price?
hubbard_007 asked:
I would like to have the customer to focus on clothing in shop and not price only. We have price tags on stock dresses. Customers are also able to special order in another size. We are a small boutique with large competitors in our area. We do not have the volume as others and the advertising budget. We are battling problems what we should set our margin at.

Any good advice on looking for office space for a small start up investment company?
keepingitgoing asked:
only need about 500sq ft. to start. obviously if it grows i’ll need more. watching the budget, wouldn’t mind something unique, I am in an expensive area in a major city but could go suburban if i need to. don’t need too upscale yet. I’m not that interested in executive suite set ups but more along the lines of a sublease of an extra office. If anyone can share their advice or experience with this I would greatly appreciate it. This is my first move out of corporate so I am finding this stuff to be harder than the idea/business model/pitch part. Thanks.
