Budgeting with $150 a week?
I have $150 a week for food, toiletries, gas, car maintenance, and fun. For the next 5 years.
Do you have any tips for grocery shopping, work lunches, keeping my car in shape on my own, and getting together with friends without spending a lot of money?
I’m a 26 year old single girl. I have to look and dress professionally for work. I still like to go to concerts, but the ones I go to are always less than $20 for a ticket, and I don’t go more than once a month. I’m having a painfully hard time budgeting.
Any advice?
(I’m asking in cooking and recipes because I know there’s a lot of ladies and gents in this category who’ve made due on much less than $150 a week, I’m sure!)
forgot visa payment I actually only have $135 a week.

New Home Moving-In Expenses: I’m moving into a new home; need advice on budgeting for?
…things like drapes/movers/etc.
My move is local and I will be downsizing. My current home has lots of storage (bookcases, built-in shelving, etc.). I know that there are going to be a lot of miscellaneous expenses that come in a move, and I would like as best I can to anticipate them. Thanks.

Anyone know of any good books that give basic personal finance advice?
My parents are in a bit of financial trouble. The problem is not their income. It really comes down to the fact that they don’t have a basic grasp on how to manage money. Any money they make, they spend on something. They won’t take advice from me, because I’m “just their kid.”
So I was wondering if there were any books out there that anyone might know if that talks about things like:
Paying yourself first
How to set up a budget
How to change your thinking about spending
How to get out of that “spend every extra dime you have” mentality…
Etc.
It needs to be a fairly simple read, because neither of them “has time to read.”

First time computer build, nervous, looking for advice?
I decided this summer that I wanted to build my first computer, and I’m pretty excited. It’s a budget gaming rig ($750) and all the parts arrived today. I’m really excited to get going on this, but also pretty nervous. I’ve never built a system before, and I want everything to go right.
I’ve found some guides online, but does anyone have a guide that they know is really good? Also, I’m nervous about stuff like cable management, etc. Basically, any advice before I get going on this?

Doing a group project in my project management course and need some advice?
our group project is on workplace safety at a daycare. We want to improve that and I’m suppose to cover the resources and budget of this project, but what resources would I need to improve the safety at a daycare? What would be the cost? What are the normal resources commonly used when improving workplace safety? Just need advice!
