BUDGET Advice Please?
Here are some details..
I need extra money… Would Avon or Mary Kay be worth my while.. Or babysitting?
I’m 26, not getting any younger.. I have no kids and I’m not in a relationship… I really have nothing to keep me here.
I’m so tired of the way my life is going..
I’ve wanted to move to NYC for the longest time.. But don’t know how to go about it..
I’ve been there about 5 times, and love it so much… I get so sad when I have to go back home..
I’m now working 2 jobs..
I have about 3 K in credit card debt..
I have student loans that total about 18 k, Car payment about 6 k left on there…
I’m so tired of not being able to live the life I want, because of money issues..
Please offer me some advice.. I wish I had a life coach or something..
Is there a way I could make extra money on top of what I’m doing now? I’m tired of the debt.. My student loans are 200 total a month.. I’m not worrying about paying those off right away.. Because I consider that good debt..
But the credit cards need to go!!!
I make about $1,000 dollars a month from one job.. And about $400 a month from my other job..
Yeah I need to find another job, or other ways to make money.. This isn’t working.
My total in bills a month = 557.38 + around 160.00 a month for gas = $717.38
I want to be a success story, other people have overcame the odds and have done great things with there lives..
Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!
PS: I live in Ohio, I’m unhappy here.. And don’t want to be stuck!
PS: I don’t plan on bringing a car to NYC.
My FICO score is 748.. and if i get my debt paid off it will raise it, so hopefully I’ll get a good deal on an apartment when i do move.
And No I won’t settle for another city! I need to work something out!
I want to pay as much of my debt off as a I can before I go, I don’t want debt to be an excuse not to follow my dream.. Cause there will always be some obstacle.
I live with my parents, but they don’t charge me rent…
I have about $250 bucks in savings..
I still have my $600 rebate check from the govt that I haven’t cashed yet..
I have 3 k in a CD but I don’t want to use that..
I KNOW I NEED TO SAVE MORE MONEY! I’m not planning on moving to NYC with $850 dollars.
I KNOW the cost of living is HIGH.
I KNOW I need to consider transportation there!
My parents want me to move out, because they love me and want me to start my own life.. Do you think I could accomplish my goal in 6 or 7 months.. If I work really really hard.. I plan on selling everything I don’t need.. And I’ll live in Ramen if I have too..
I Know I need Roommates, but none of my friends want to leave Akron, which I find Crazy lol.
What could I do for extra money.. Please give me advice

Jobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz? UK?
Jobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz!?
Dont know quite how to explain it but i will do best i can,
When i first met the gf she got a budget loan from income support with her son, Her name was only on that as i only just met her, and she is still paying it back as we speak.
But now we are on jobseekers allowance and claiming together, Job seekers allowance is in my name and i go sign on and look for jobs etc. I phoned the budget loan people to see if i qualify for a budget loan and they said i havnt had one before so yes you can.
But im not to sure cause once i get my forms, obviously it will say have you got a partner if so give details etc. So my question is if i put her name down as my partner and claiming together will they still accept my budget loan as ive not had one before, or will they say no because the partner has had one before. Any ideas peeps

I want to be a special constable any advice?
Basically I have taken a gap year out from university and am interesting in volunteering as a special constable. I would like to become a full time officer instead of studying at university but unfortunately due to budget cuts they aren’t looking for them in Lancashire. Atm am unemployed, and thought to myself what better way to spend my time and learn new skills than volunteer to be a special constable. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Advice on hardwood flooring please?
I am on a limited budget and while I want my floors to look beautiful, I’d also like to be thrifty. I know nothing about hardwood flooring except that I want real wood. Can I cut costs with substituting wood varieties, grade etc. (I really don’t know about wood “grades”) I am looking to put down flooring in my bedroom (12X16), my foyer, dining roon (12X10) my kitchen (12X14). I know what stain color I want, though- a Jacobean stain I saw. I love darker colors. I don’t want a lot of “knots” in the wood, either. Can anyone give me any advice on how to get nice looking floors that don’t look cheap, but don’t break me? Thanks a lot!

Does anyone have and advice on raising money to go on school trip?
My school has a summer program to go to Brazil to study the Amazon. I would love to go and am a broke college student. The trip runs around $4000 and I cannot get financial aid because of budget cuts. I have a job so I am definitely going to try to save up as much as I possibly can but does anyone have any tips or experience on raising money for a trip? I can’t ask my family member or friends since they are either broke or just plain cheap.

Budgeting dilemma- advice?
My husband was laid off and ended up taking a good job but at a pay cut. I make double what he makes.
Here’s the dilemma… my husband has a much higher amount of expenses. I paid for school each month while he took out loans. I bought my car in full while he has a car loan. He bought a condo whereas I rented.
Now that we live together, we are figuring out expenses. I feel even though the home loan is in his name, housing expenses should absolutely be split. However, his student loans and car loan shouldn’t be my responsibility. I paid much more for my schooling but paid as I went out of my own money. My car was cheaper but I paid out of my savings. My insurance is not as expensive since it’s an economy car, where he has a bigger more expensive car.
Groceries, utilities, health insurance, entertainment- I say we split down the middle. It’s just these bigger expenses I’m worried on how to approach him with.
I’d love to contribute more towards savings for the both of us, but I don’t feel that even though I make more I should have to pay off his debt when I took care of my debt on my own.
P.S. We don’t argue about this…yet…just in phase one and I don’t know how to approach him or even if I’m being fair?
