Budgeting Advice/Help?
Hey Everyone!
My fiancé and I would like to get some good strong roots on our budgeting and saving money. Right now we are ehh I wouldn’t say the best at doing it. We both make well enough money to support all of our bills and have extra but we still end up not having any money. It feels like we are behind and never going to get ahead. So I just have a few questions.
How do you budget?
How can we move from living to pay check to pay check and pay our bills early?
What is the best way to stick to it?
Thank you, we really want to change the way we do things. Save money, be on top of our bills, build our credit and one day work up to have a credit card. Any suggestions will be helpful. I know it’s all about buckling down and doing it but we just need some advice and see which is the best way to track, spend, and save wisely. I checked out mint.com but I so far don’t like it nor understand it.
Thanks!!
The credit card (that one day) will be to help us build our credit. We are going to let our paychecks just add up throughout the month. Pay all of our bills on the credit card and then at the end of the month pay the credit card bill and whats left is our spending money.

Who can be a professional that can offer finacial advice?
My husband and I are looking into buying our own home. We want to talk with someone who can offer us advice on what steps to take beyond what we’ve already done. Things such as, should we refinance our car loan to get a lower monthly payment and better interest rate? How much home can we afford on our budget? ETC.
Can a loan officer at our bank help us with that? Or would their be some legality issue that would make them say- nope, sorry, can’t give advice?
Thanks. I don’t want to sound stupid when I call.

I’m hoping to find a wedding ceremony/reception venue in the SF Bay Area on a TIGHT budget, any advice?
We are trying to find a wedding venue in either San Francisco, or somewhere in the North Bay/Wine Country region for next year. We are on a very tight budget, but want the wedding to be as beautiful as possible. Any suggestions on where to start looking? Or how to throw a chic & cheap wedding?

Wedding Budget Advice?
So, my fiance’ and I want to get married in November 2010. This is the issue, we don’t officially belong to a church. We want to do a wedding venue but our overall budget is about 5500-6000…and 6000 is pushing it. My dress is being made for me by his godmother. She makes wedding dresses for a living. We figured we would have a maid of honor and best man but no extended wedding party. How can we budget appropriately? I don’t want to spend 4500 to rent a place and then have to pay for food and flowers, ect. Is this a fair budget or should we push it back even later? Advice?
