What would make you read a personal finance blog?
jlstitt asked:
I’m thinking of starting a personal finance blog. The types of topics I plan to cover are: budgeting, building wealth, risk management, asset management, and other topics that, admittedly, can be a bit “dry” to many people. I want to attract a wide variety of people, not just bean-counters; I’d like it to be for everyone.

What would it take to make you read a blog like that? Humor? Some additional, more interesting topics? Bios of wealthy people? Contests?

Is there are personal finance software program other than Microsoft Money or Quicken that is decent?
designtimemyrtle asked:
I have Microsoft Money 2002 and it is no longer reliable. The reviews of Microsoft Money 2008 are not encouraging, so I may not be improving my situation. My good friend says to stay away from Quicken, so what else is there out there? All I want to do is make a household budget and keep track of our investments.

fromthecabbagepatch asked:
I’m looking for a simple way to keep track of my budget and finances etc….something I can carry with me because I’m not very good with bringing home information to put on the computer. I do better with writing things down in a book or something. So I’m looking for some sort of personal finance organizer….perfect for my purse…anybody have any ideas?

Is there such a thing as a “Personal Banker”?
Jenny~? asked:
My brother needs to move from MI to AZ so he can be near his children. He has just gone through divorce and bankruptcy and has a hard time with budgeting. (Especially now that child support is in the mix.) Is there such a thing as a “personal banker” who could pretty much help him budget for an apartment (and such) if he makes this move to AZ? If so, what is the proper term for a person like that so we can search better? We need to do better searches and find out how much a person like that would cost.

Any advice for making a personal budget?
sassica asked:
It seems nearly impossible to pay off old credit card debt and save money. Are there any good budgets/formula’s in order to pay off debt, stay debt free, and still save some money to travel or buy a house? My first plan of winning the lottery is not working out so well…
Thanks!
